The aerospace division of Airbus Group is using DataViews in various areas, for example in aircraft manufacturing. Thus, DataViews is used for graphically representing and monitoring the manufacturing process for the fuselage of the Airbus aircraft family.
GIPSY® is used for one of EADS’ space projects, the research laboratory Columbus, which is part of the international space station. For monitoring and maintaining the station from earth DASA has developed the Columbus Ground System. Part of this software is the Ground Window Definition Utility (GWDU), which is based on GIPSY® and contains a powerful custom-made editor.
